Unsuitable Junction

The junction at Newlyn Bridge is a nightmare to negotiate and causes much frustration and confusion to traffic. I'm not sure if a mini-roundabout IS the way to go, but a review and report by a highways expert would be extremely welcome.

I received an email back from the Service Co-ordinator at Highways Service of Cornwall Council

The junction at Newlyn Bridge has previously been consulted on and both a single and double roundabout was considered. From the consultation it was concluded that a single roundabout was not feasible at this location due to the configuration of the arms and the layout of the existing road. As far as I am aware, the double roundabout was rejected at consultation by the local community as it was deemed difficult to use.

This junction would be totally unsuitable for a double mini roundabout due to the road width. That doesn't mean nothing can be done and I'm still hoping for some progress that improves the junction for all users.
