Unsafe School Playground

Sent to Bracknell Forest Council 5 minutes later

Playground equipment on concrete surface in Infant playground. Unsafe if children fall!! Particularly tractor tyre which encourages climbing and balancing activities. We send our children to school to be safe and preventive measures should be taken. All local schools and public play parks have shock absorbing materials around their equipment except Ascot Heath Infant School! I have expressed my concerns since September 2008 and written to the Head and governors but no action has been taken to make safe or remove the potentially lethal combination (play equipment and concrete do not mix!!) My child who is a pupil at the school had an accident on the tyre in May 2009 and other parents have reported to me that their children have to in the past. I am a registered childminder for under 8's and would certainly not be allowed this in my garden!!
