Several Broken Streetlights

Reported in the Street lighting category by Paula Ramsay at 23:57, Tue 29 September 2009
Sent to Angus Council 2 minutes later

Over the weekend I noticed 2 broken streetlights beside 55 Threewells Drive. Tonight a further 2 are not working beside 63 Threewells Drive & Kemsley Place. My family frequently walk my dog at the grass beside "the shop" both early morning & late evening but now the area is almost pitch black. Please fix these lights.

I received an email to say the council required specialist equipment to fix some of lights since they were on a footpath. They also thought they were broken because of vandalism. Although some of the lights have been fixed there are still several along the path that are not lit meaning we have to walk an alternative way as it's pitch black.

Some of the street lights have been fixed but as for the ones further along the path, they apparantly need specialized equipment as the not accessible by car & the council has to wait until this becomes available. I won't use the footpath at night as it is pitch black & you don't know what you could be standing in.

Have contacted the council again, and they tell me that the delay is due to the fact they have had to source other lanterns but are due to be fixed next week.
