Bike lane on Greenwood Road

Hi,

The markings for the bike lane running against the one-way traffic on Greenwood Road has become almost completely worn away. It is a dangerous cycle lane in any event but the absence of markings makes it more so. Many drivers don't seem to realise that there is a legitimate cycle lane and verbally abuse cyclists.

Please make the lane more visible and think about adding a sign at the end of the road informing drivers of the cycle lane.

Thanks!

Blimey! I lived on Greenwood Road from 1993 to 2002. During that time the contra-flow cycle lane was introduced and as a cyclist I lobbied the council for a sign to be erected at the Graham Road end - and it was! So where has it gone?

As the other commenter says, there is a cycle lane sign at the bottom of the street. The problem is that the cars coming down the street don't know it's a cycle lane because (a) the markings are completely worn away, and (b) although there is a sign for drivers at the top of the street, it's small and badly positioned and far too easy to miss.
