Low overhead traffic lights

Reported in the Road traffic signs category by Oscar Del Fabbro at 09:57, Fri 25 September 2009
Sent to City of London Corporation 3 minutes later

The traffic light at this entrance/junction are sited 1.8 meters above ground level. Regulations require a minimum height of 1.2 meters. There are no warming signs or hazard markings for pedestrians walking under the sign. I am 1.94 meters tall and struck my head on it some weeks ago. I reported it to the City department and was passed on to Tfl. I have not had a response from Tfl but only from their loss adjusters instead. They deny liability and have seemingly failed to understand the signal is unlawfully positioned and a danger to passing pedestrians.
