Untaxed vehicles?

Parked cars along whaddon chase are a real problem - especially when they double park (there seems to be no set rule as to who parks partway on the kerb). Whilst dropping passengers off this afternoon, I couldn't help noticing at least 2 cars parked in the road but not displaying a valid tax disk. Maybe it's about time the car owners in this street (and others) were told to park their cars in their voluminous front gardens?
