Road Name sign

Reported anonymously at 12:04, Wed 23 September 2009
Sent to Lancashire County Council and Lancaster City Council 1 minute later

We live at No: 15 Kingsmuir Close.LA3 2UE. The road sign "Kingsmuir Close is continually being run into by cars reversing into our cul-de-sac while dropping off children to the local school. Our boundry fence has been demolished at least three times since weve been here and unfortuneately while we were out working. Perhaps a bollard strategically placed would reduce both the damage to the sign and to our property ??? I can supply a photo if reqd.

Someone arrived fairly quickly to look at the problem. Unfortunately Ive not seen or heard from them since. My estimate is that it has simply been forgotten. I have since had yet another fence errected, this time with concrete posts. At a cost of over £2500. I would have thought a simple sign would have been little or no hastle to the council, I must be mistaken.

Has your sign problem been fixed?

This problem is still there. The sign is bent and twisted. In my opinion almost two years from my original complaint, still with no action taken is just not good enough. PN (No 15)
