Site of old Mariners Pub

Reported by Peter Clayton at 10:42, Wed 23 September 2009
Sent to Blackpool Borough Council 2 minutes later

There has been no action on the site for nearly 2 years. It is a health hazard (Rats and mice breeding ground) and an eyesore (Pile of rubble and dumped fridges etc.) Surely it is the councils responsibility to clear the site and charge the owners. It is a disgraceful situation and would not be allowed to happen in the more affluent areas of Blackpool

Nothing appears to have been done. The council have issued some warning for the site to be cleared but it appears that the threat has not been carried through.Meanwhile the eyesore continues and the health hazard becomes more of a risk daily.

There has been no progress at the site mentioned and the wooden partition has now blown down due to bad weather. I am very dissappointed in the lack of response.Am I the only person concerned. Not only is it a residential area but the Norbreck Castle Hotel opposite caters for a large number of visitors to the town.
