Manholes not raised after 'resurfacing' & junction lines missing

Reported by Stephen Harvey at 20:19, Tue 22 September 2009
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later

There are quite a number of manholes that have been left at a dangerously low level following 'botched' resurfacing works. Also junction lines have been obscured & not reinstated at the end of Schoolhill Place. The different levels that now exist will increase the difficulties that cars (& school buses !) have negotiating this road in the winter - can we have a grit box sited nearby to help get out in the winter please.

mostly done - no grit box there yet tho' - winters coming !

Not entirely - manholes raised and lines repainted - but drains are still too low and to date we still wait for a grit bin or at least a reason why the council won't site one here - it is a (council) school bus route & it got stuck last year blocking the end of our road so no-one could get in or out until the residents used their own equipment to free it !

Most of the road repairs have been rectified - but despite a note to say an assessment would be made for a grit box...surprise surprise it didn't materialise - shame really as a lot of the people in the new houses/visitors/delivery drivers use the end of this street to turn in & most of them got stuck along with us ! Why no grit bin? it's a simple & cheap request in an attempt to help ourselves !? It was noted that the council were happy to refill all the ones in the 'flat' SMH development though.Shameful.
