Sent to Chiltern District Council 4 minutes later
Flytipping in the woods, dens and camps being made with a ton of rubbish and destruction to flora taking place. This has been reported to local police and various agencies and hopefully it will be dealt with but I felt this needed to go further.

We have cleared alot of the litter ourselves (3 persons). We are awaiting for the small caravan and car to be taken out of the woods. The problem with these things are that they are on private land and it would cost money for the council to be able to do anything so we are in a catch 22 situation.
I have been in touch with the Council who were preppared to provide litrter pickers and bags to clear this site. There is an issue witht he caravan as CDC dont have the power to walk onto private land and start taking things off. I have suggested that they investigate ownership through the Land registry who will tell them definitively who owns the land.
I was told that CDC'sOfifcers were liaising directly with one of the residents near Peterlee on this.
Finally if this message is from the gentleman I have been speakign to on this issue I'm sorry not to return your call but I have lost your no. If you call me again on 07775 925600 it would be good to hook up.
Cllr Garnett
CDC have now written to the ownder of Peterlee Woods pointing out their duties under various acts of parliament. I'm told they await a response.
Thames Valley Police Anti Arson Unit have been informed of the caravan issue as we beleive they have powers to deal.
The residents of Prestwood joined together and dismantled the den and cleared the area and will continue to be united on matter of rubbish and litter. The caravan is still the issue.
