Incorrect signage

Unnecessary street signs are a distraction and therefore a hazard, and signs are even more so when they are out of date and/or incorrect.
In particular, the yellow signs for the recent street works at the place indicated should by now have been removed (advance signs for previous works thereabouts remained for several months after completion).
Also, recently and perhaps currently, temporary red signs for the gas supply works in the Groves region have been incorrect, particularly "NO THROUGH ROAD" ones where there are from that point and in that direction almost as many through roads as usual.
Those yellow signs bear telephone numbers in the form 0208 547 5929. The Council, its employees, and its agents should be aware that the correct form for local numbers is as 020 8547 5929.
At that junction, there is a permanent sign with the word "Beverly", which should be "Beverley"; and one on which the distances to Norbiton and Kingston are in the wrong order (move it to the back of Hampton Wick). The whole world can see those on Google Street View. Signs should be checked for accuracy by a competent person before acceptance from whoever makes them.
