Overgrown trees and rubbish

Please can you arrange for the relevant council department to cut back the trees and bushes in height and width along the footpath from Waterloo Road and Church Lane Brighouse. The present condition is a muggers dream. This area also would benefit from a regular litter collection

Trees and bushes still need cutting back. Spent 2hours Saturday morning collecting four large bags of rubbish including bagged dog waste myself as the council had not cleared the area.

The council are not interested in this matter.

With reference to the email we received from you in December regarding the mess on the above footpath between Waterloo Road and Parsonage Lane, I can inform you that I have asked the Youth Offending Team to put some of their errant youngsters to work clearing the litter. I recognize the problems caused by the overhanging vegetation (some of which grows out of the allotments) and I have made efforts to get the Council Officer with responsibility for the allotments to take action. This seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I will, therefore, endeavour to get the cutting back done as soon as possible. I am hoping to use young offenders or a probation service “pay back” team to do the work. As a local man I am aware that this path (and surrounding land) attracts more than its fair share of litter & dog mess. I thank you for your personal efforts to clear it. Unfortunately there isn’t a system of cyclical cleaning that covers this path & to date we merely respond to complaints. I will see what I can do to change that.
