Give way markings at this junction

I live at 28 Meadow Hill driving away from my house to get to the A3 or Malden Way to New Malden I turn left at the bottom of Meadow Hill into Barnfield and at the Junction of Amberwood Rise turn left or right to get to my destination. Everyday I arrive at the junction where the give way signs are on Amberwood Rise and everyday I have to slam my brakes on because Amberwood rise is the busiest road and people take no notice of the give way signs on the road and drive straight across this junction. It is an accident waiting to happen!!! Can the give way signs on the road not be put at the junction of Barnfield and Minstead Way as these are just residential roads where as Amberwood Rise is very busy particularly during term time and is also a bus route (K1). Thank you
