Property Numbers

It is extremely difficult to find properties in this road. E.g. there are two properties numbered 8a, and there are two properties numbered 9. these are not the only examples. A gentleman who runs a Vehicle Repair Shop in Lansdown Place Lane said that some days ago four postmen, all working together, could not find where post should be delivered to! Please, please help.
