Thoughtless Parking

I would like to request that an additional traffic sign be erected at the crossroads to direct traffic towards the 'Viewpoint' parking area. Currently there is a brown 'Viewpoint' sign but this needs to be accompanied by a parking 'P' sign to inform drivers that there is a designated parking area available. There are ongoing problems being caused by visitors parking their vehicles indiscriminately on the grass verges leading from the crossroads towards Gronfoel and Plas Newydd properties. The problem is more prevalent at weekends. These vehicles are not only causing damage to the verges, more importantly they are causing access problems to larger vehicles such as farm machinery and horse boxes etc. These larger vehicles are being forced to drive on the opposite grass verge in order to get through in some places. It would also help matters if one of the 'Dead End' signs at the crossroads was replaced as this is heavily weathered and unreadable. Your attention to these matters would be most appreciated.

"Dead End" sign has been replaced. Ian Jones in the traffic section at County Hall (01352 702020) says "A dedicated parking sign is not necessary as the tourist sign indicates that a facility for parking exists, even without the letter p. He will however look at it and if necessary review the situation"
