The initial problem of untaxed vehicle was solved by the owner removing the vehicle. The long term problem of illegal car sales persists at an ever increasing rate. I have been passed from pillar to post as everyone runs from this hot potato. County council imform me they are powerless to stop it, and so pass it to the Police, they claim they cannot find the owners as they are not registered(apart from previous owner)(illegal surely to park it on the road)and say it is a trading standards problem, who cannot follow up as the cars are not registered. So they pass the buck to the local council who claim they are doing all they can(like sticking stickers over the windows of the cars) these blow off at the first sign of mearest breeze or peeled off by passers by so they can read the "for sale" signs. Sticking these notices twice in 6 months hardly constitutes a good effort. It more smacks of paying lip service, to quell local anoyance. It is clearly a case of not in my back yard, so not my problem. it would appear as this is not considered a problem, then no-one will have a problem with my registering a large number of cars in the names of friends and family and parking them in some of the prestigeous areas around this town. Lets say for example Pilleys Lane( no yellow lines there) Wainfleet Road(same again)Spilsy Road etc. This might prompt councillors and council officials to take note, when harassed outside their own front door.
