Massive ragworth invasion

Sent to Denbighshire Council 3 minutes later
The field adjoining the church is covered in Ragwort which has spread onto the grass verges and is spreading (70% of all ragwort seeds germinate). This contravenes the ragwort control act 2004 and weeds act 1959. Ragwort is fatal to cattle, sheep and horses if eaten and poisonous to humans if absorbed through the skin. As a number of farmers in the village make hay for animal feed the spread of this weed is a threat to their livelihood and is also a threat if it spreads to a number of fields in which horses are kept, in and around the village. Apart from it being unsightly.

The grass verge adjoining the field has been cut however the field is still overrun and I have received an email from the council thanking me for bringing it to their attention. I would therefore assume that they have let the landowner know that they have to deal with this. thanks
