Blocked drainage

During recent heavy rainfall the road drainage became blocked in this area and the square manhole cover lifted to allow the water to bypass the next two roadside drains

Apparently the coucil are aware that this is a re-occurring problem and a new drainage system is currently on our programme of works to be implemented in the financial year 09/10.

This problem is still waiting to be attended too. Surface water is still bypassing a blocked drain but without sufficient quantities recently to lift the manhole cover.
