Dangerous motors and cycles traffic flow

I have often turned right into Gordon Square from Torrington Place as a black cab passenger. Cab drivers have long been pointing out the danger of having a westbound cycling lane on the "wrong" side of the road, which means a cyclist travelling in the same direction along Torrington Place can be unexpectedly crossing the junction they are turning into, setting up a collision. The solution would be to make it a no right turn, or to put a suitable traffic light system with bikes under a separate light. It is ironic that this point on one of the few properly segregated cycle routes should be a death trap. It's not fair on drivers either. I cycled the route for the first time today, it felt unsafe and there are similar issues at other junctions. Even if you are aware of the problem, it is very hard for drivers and cyclists to read the situation as it comes up without hesitating which is also dangerous . This junction is notorious, and I was shocked to see that despite this nothing has been done to date.
