Van abandoned with out of date Tax

Van (YR51DFL, Vauxhal Combo) left in residents parking bay with out of date tax disc (exp. Jan 07). Doesn't belong to any resident, and parking is now short (usual car is forced out onto street).

Reported this to the DVLA, police (under Operation Crackdown) and the Council. Apparently, no-one at all is interested. Makes me wonder why I pay all this tax...
