Speeding lorries/too much traffic

I have serious concerns over the sheer volume of traffic, including huge speeding lorries, using Godstone High Street as a cut through. My children's safety is an on-going concern, when walking or riding/scooting down to school or the village. I would definitely support traffic calming measures (speed bumps)and barriers along the pavement for security. Godstone is a beautiful village with an ugly traffic problem.

Updates
I have just moved on to Godstone High St and I'm worried about the amount of speeding trucks, especially the oversized recycling trucks heading towards the land fill in Nutfield. I personally would like to see them banned and re-routed or at least a speed limit of 30mph! Can you believe there are no speed limit signs in Godstone..PLEASE SUPPORT THIS, THANK YOU
I have spoken many time to Surrey County Council on this matter. Simply moving the 30mph sign post further up the road to the brow of the hill before Highways Agency would be beneficial but they dont listen. Several people need to die before they listen. Good thing is it will all be reported here as a "we told you so". Perhaps a petition would be good and contact with our local MP.
