Chalk lane

The general condition of both the road and pavements on Chalk Lane (specifically from the Metropoint end to the junction with Vewrood Drive is quite simply, appalling. Driving is a challenge and has caused damage to two tyres on my car and walking should only be attempted by those with excellent eye-sight,who are very agile wearing good trainers! There are sporadic attempts to patch potholes or re-cement the curb stones but quite frankly, these repairs are done to an abysmal standard. I would really like to see the response from an engineer as to the standard of both the road and the pavement. With large sums of money having been spent on the streetlighting (that appeared to be working), there is obviously some strange setting of priorities.
