I sent a notification on 11/7/2009. Unfortunately I now realise it did not reach you so I am resubmitting it.

Over the last 33 years since I have lived in Adstock this road junction has had serious traffic sighting problems especially when turning Right on to the main road.

Inspite of notifying the highways authority on numerous occasions in the past [the last time was 2008 when full details including photos and suggestions were sent via email], the problem still occurs.

The difficulty is that one has no adequate sight of traffic approaching the bend on one's left due to overgrown vegetation.By the time one has started to move on to the main road it is too late to avoid an accident with a hidden vehicle in the bend on the left. [there have been many extermely serious accidents at this junction in the past and they will continue to occur unless adequate remedial measures are taken ].

We have been told on several occasions by Bucks highways authority, the main problem is due to trees and hedges being overgrown on the verges which are the responsiblity of the land owners to cut them back. So far there appears to be very little inducement for them to do so.

My suggestion is for the Highways authotity to do this work as a matter of urgency and recover costs from the land owners every time this causes a problem. Thereafter to moniter this problem say every 4 weeks during the growing season.
