Roadside Verges & Hedges

Sent to Essex County Council and Braintree District Council 2 minutes later

Why does Bulford Lane and Bulford Mill Lane, from Black Notley Village up to Cressing Station, never seem to be included in the verge cutting programme that takes place early each year. The roadside verges here are badly overgrown and in places are bristling with stinging nettles. Consequently pedestrians have to walk farther away from the road edge than is necessary and are faced with either being stung to death by nettles or mown down by motorists driving as if being chased by the devil!. The section approaching the Mill corner is particularly dangerous in this latter respect as the hedges also need cutting back here. It would be helpful if the Highway Department could please give these matters their early attention.
