"Alley Gates"

Around Mount Pleasant there are several lanes that appear to be a magnet for flytipping, drug users, graffiti, etc mat I make a suggestion- in Newport Gwent they have a scheme of putting up lockable gates that local residents have access to and this has cut down on the above anti social problems. Would anyone else agree? This is called "alley-gating" and reviews can be seen on BBC, etc websites.
