Grit Box needed for winter

During the winter months this road gets incredibly slippery, due to the fact it is at quite a gradient. People in the houses surrounding this location, during the winter months cannot attend work or even using the car to go to the supermarket, due to the shear danger of using their vehicle on this road during winter weather. The worst time is usually when it has snowed or we have had heavy frost/ice. So my request is that a Grit box is placed on the pavement, to the side of this dangerous road during the winter.
