Children playing in street

Sent to Brighton & Hove Council 5 minutes later
It is not appropriate for children to use a road as a playground, there is a park with a playground less than 5 minutes walk away and a skate board park down the hill. It is dangerous as it is a through road and children playing on the pavement are not always visible to passing cars. The children playing are noisy, balls are continual thudding against walls and cars (unavoidable in such a narrow road) and skateboards & scooters race back and forward on the bumpy pavements making a lot of racket. These are terrace houses with no front gardens to separate street noise from house occupants, so noise and vibration is feet away from people in their homes. It happens most dry nights throughout the year.

The work was carried out this April-May09, Good reports of the play area, Shame the Swings seating had been Vandalized within 8wks, Lucky for the Community there was a small underspend on Budget, and the Vandalism has been put right. Also Congratulations to the Public for their support & help in getting the Funding.
