I’m writing to complain about the parking along Wood Street.

We have constant problems with the overspill from the hospital during surgery and visiting times. It has become so bad that I fear there will be a major accident should something not done very soon.

We have constant problems with people parking right up to the entrance of Moulsham Thrift making our entry onto the main road a matter of guesswork. While I understand this maybe, hopefully, a short-term thing until the hospital finally closes I would appreciate if something could be done to improve the situation.

I was hoping that the resurfacing work could have included at least some double yellow lines around the entry/exits to all the side roads onto Wood street. This would at least made people aware that they are parking within the legal limit of a junction.

I’m more than happy to meet to discuss the problem further.

I have been directed to the local PCSO. The council are not going to help in this matter as they feel that the problem should be sorted by the police issuing parking tickets where appropriate.
