Overgrown hedge

Reported anonymously at 21:29, Wed 17 June 2009
Sent to Scarborough Borough Council and North Yorkshire County Council 1 minute later

No 72 Overdale obstructing public right of way, forcing you onto the grass verge. (If grass verge wasn't there you would be forced onto the road.) there is also a blue bin that has been left unemptied for at least a couple of weeks because it has been contaminated with non recyclable rubbish. I have reported the issue about the hedge through customer first at scarborough borough council twice now but yet nothing has been done. The first time I phoned was on 21st May 09. I phoned a second time (I think that was on the 4th June and spoke to Vicky)and I was told that there was no record that this problem had been reported. I have written an E: Mail to parks and gardens tonight (17th June) and this report to you, in the hope that someone is going to sort this problem. Each time I report a problem to scarborough Borough Council I feel as though I am banging my head against a brick wall

I have recently found out that the property belongs to sanctury housing. They have been made aware of the problem about a week or two ago and as yet there has still been nothing done. Also not only is there one blue bin left on the street outside the property there are two, plus about four blue bags full of rubbish just left on the street. I still feel that I am being ignored.

The overgrown hedge has now been cut back BUT the problem with the bin has not been resolved.
