School run parking

Sent to Basildon Borough Council 3 minutes later

I live just off the High road very close to Lincewood School in Langdon Hills. I don't have a problem with people picking up their children from school by car but i do have a problem with the way they park, at times they are parked either side of the entrance to our small close & also directly opposite making it impossible to get out as there is no room to manovre, i also have to frequently walk in the road as parents feel the need to park with 2 wheels on the pavement so close to the grass embankment that is not possible to walk along safely i have to resort to walking in the road, it is not safe I hve seen young mums with babys in prams having to do the same.It is only a matter of time before their is an accident. I have spoken to the school but got no help from them at all, i was asking for a letter to be sent to parents asking them to be more considerate when dropping off & collecting children from school. Any help would be great.

i recieved a call from my local council to acknowledge my problem but unfortunatly this is all i have had, the problem is at present a bit better but this is due to temporary parking facilities, which are due to end shortly.
