Encroachment on public grass verge

Reported in the Car parking category by Simon Baddeley at 19:44, Sun 14 June 2009
Sent to Birmingham City Council 1 minute later

Householders at 246, 247 and 248 have so far encroached on the grass verge beside Hamstead Road that at least one, despite a prohibitive notice opposite the house, laid gravel over the public grass to create an illegal parking space, even though the house has car access via the rear garden backing on Winston Drive. See google photo which includes prohibitory notice: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=246+Hamstead+road+handsworth+birmingham+B20&ie=UTF8&split=0&gl=uk&ei=lzs1StCsC966jAez2Yn-CQ&ll=52.509914,-1.918724&spn=0.006582,0.016866&z=16&iwloc=A&layer=c&cbll=52.509235,-1.919257&panoid=f-MdtZy8fmNF2p6HElUJkw&cbp=12,145.81,,0,13.47

Another photo showing the problem and the notice prohibiting parking on the grass verges let alone laying gravel over them!
