Trees bordering the southern aspect of Whitkirk Bowls Club

The trees bordering Whitkirk Bowling Green but which are outside the bowling club perimeter on the other side (southern side I believe) of the fence and belong to Leeds City Council need cutting down lower in order to allow more light and air to our bowling green. The Council did cut them lower but it was many years ago and they have all grown up high again. These trees/bushes are quite tall now - I'm guessing at about 20 feet high. It would be great if the Council could cut them down by at least half and would benefit our Green hugely. These trees although they border our Green are part of Temple Newsam playing fields area.

The Council refuse to cut the hedge and say it is low priority - it is high priority to us but they dont seem to have taken that into consideration.
