Flooding
Reported by Richard Grant at 11:28, Sun 31 May 2009
Sent to Tandridge District Council and Surrey County Council 2 minutes later
I live in Godstone Surrey at the junction of the A25 and B2235.
As can be seen on the enclosed photographs the north east corner of the roundabout is flooded. This happens every time it rains; I have checked the two road gullies at this point and they are both full of silt to within four inches of the top.
The B2235 is an important feeder road for junction 6 of the M25 and at busy times carries a lot of traffic and this spot is the only crossing point on the north side of the roundabout. Apart from pedestrians being unable to cross here in wet weather there is the additional hazard of freezing for both drivers and pedestrians to contend with.
A survey by the highways inspector should be conducted and remedial works instigated as a matter of urgency at this busy and hazardous junction.
This is a copy of my email sent to SCC on 23/01/2009 I had no response and re-sent it on the 28th
The following was received on the 29th; nothing has been done.
This problem has been around for about two years.

Updates
The gully appears to be partially cleaned out. I will report back after the next period of heavy rain on whether the flooding problem is cured.
This problem would have continued to be ignored if your site did not exist.
Many thanks
The flooding has not been fixed yet, the council have tried to clean the gulley- after I posted the problem on this website-but have been unsuccessful. I have just sent them another email and more pictures in the hope that they will sort this obviously complicated job out.
