The drainage ditch adjacent to the western boundery of Long Furlong Primary school is blocked/overgrown.

This is the resonse from The Vale of White Horse DC. Quote"I will arrange for a colleague to inspect the ditch and establish what work if any is appropriate. I am not sure whether it still serves a purpose as it must be some time since it held any water and therefore the course of action may be different to that of a working ditch

One of the reasons this drain is blocked, is that members of the public, frustrated with the low hanging branches of the trees that grow adjacent to the pathway next to the ditch, cut down the low-hanging branches and throw them into the ditch. If the DC cut the trees regularly, the ditch would not be in the state it is.
