During the building of the bus stop for the Fastway a few years ago the wall of the garage block in Turnpike place was damaged by a digger. There are alsoloose bricks which are often thrown around by kids in the area. Residents informed both councils at the time of the damage and a couple of times thereafter, but the councils have still not taken any action to correct the damage. The garage block is owned by the residents of numbers 11 to 18, but it is not fair to expect them to cover the cost of repair to damage caused by contractors. Because the wall has been damaged for some time now many people climb through the hole as a shortcut when coming from the Hotel on the Tushmore Roundabout or from Langley Green itself.
This means that residents of the once quiet road (a cull-de-sac)are now subjected constant foot traffic and noise. To make matters worse the garage area now frequently becomes a haunt of people returning from the pub and there are often disturbances at night . The following mornings broken bottles, cans litter the garage area. The damage to the wall also looks an eyesaw to people travelling along the A23. Can the Council or Councils please look into this and arrange for this eyesore to be repaired.
