We have received several complaints from residents about the dangerous conditions, fly tipping, debris and general 'eyesore' state of the industrial estate. Following a recent fire on the site, the area is now accessible and is attracting local children. Debris is being transferred from the site onto the footpath of Silverdale Drive and Silverdale Park and there is currently a fencing panel on the footpath which is proped against the wall and posing a risk of falling. Thurmaston Parish Council previously contacted the HSE re this site, and it was subsequently secured however, following the fire and further vandalism the site is open again.
