Dangerous Car Parking

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 09:15, Tue 21 April 2009
Sent to Bridgend Council 5 minutes later

I have alreadyt e-mailed BCBC but the response was not satisfactory.During each school weekday there are vehicles aprked both sides of this main road outside a school forcing bi-dirctional traffic to battle for the centre of the road.As a safe driver I find this unacceptable and I have nearly been involved in a few accidents where vehicles meet you head on in the centre of the road. Also children have to cross between 2 sets of parked cars on both sides of the road which is an added danger for them and the drivers like myself. Yellow lines need to be painted here or traffic wardens need to book vehicles parked in this way. It is ludicrous that parking like this is allowed on a busy main road and the issue needs to be addressed urgently.

This area of road is still extremely dangerous with parked cars on both sides forcing two way traffic into the middle of the road "head on" towards each other. I'm amazed this is allowed to happen on a daily basis - especially as this road serves 2 main schools.

this is an ongoing dangerous situation which is getting worse!

This parking issue is still a dangerous issue which has not been resolved.

This is still a dangerous and potential life threatening situation that has not been dealt with by Police or the Council.

Absolutely NO improvement and is no better on the weekend!

This issue still remains - no improvement.

Decline in the situation - this week the parking was at a dangerous level with the return of school. Somethnig needs to be done here before someone is seriously injured or even killed. I can't believe the Police and the Council let a situation like this occur on a busy main road outside 2 schools ? I have complained to the Council via e-mail but they gave me a typical political "do nothing" response.

This is still a major issue and it's getting worse - and this evening the doubled park section of the road was in darknes because the lights were out on that part of the road.

More dangerous is the parking in Wyndham cres. on the corner which makes it absolutely blind. But there we are when silly town planners create rat runs and then put arrows on the A48 to show people how to dodge the lights from hell, what do you expect.

Bridgend Council has killed the town centre and is allowing this cancer to spread through the outskirts!
