Drain Cover surround crumbling

There is a manhole cover at the spot marked where a deep and ever enlarging pothole has developed along the edge of the manhole cover. There are a number of issues that this raises 1) risk of the surround collapsing completely damaging the drain and requiring more extensive repair, 2) As it gets deeper the risk of damage to a vehicle wheel increase 3) It means the manhole cover os clanking loudly whenever a vehicle passes over it which as a local resident is mildly irritating, especially at night.

This problem was fixed within a few days of it being reported and there have been no issues iwth it since.
