Illegal parking

I am fortunate enough to have a drive with off street parking but have endless problems with people parking across my drive parking me in and blocking me from getting into my drive. This has resulted in verbal abuse from many members of the community and even from and ambulance attendant who wanted to know what the problem was when I called them out of the shop to move so I could get into my own drive. This is all because they want to get their daily "fish & chips" form the next door "Chippy". Now the problem as I see it is the double yellow is not policed as the shop opens at 5 and the police go home at 5. I had a pub drinker park me in on Saturday and decided he would leave at 3-30 am Sunday morning and when I called the Police I was told they would not send anyone out at that time of the morning, so much for double yellows. I have in the past asked if I could photograph the offending vehicles breaking the law and send this on and I was again told I could not as nothing would be done about it. The police or who ever gives parking tickets these days would make a killing and would most likely make their monthly quota in a day just by sitting outside my house.
I have had enough and would like something done about this please.
