Speeding

Woodlands Rd, has long been a "rat run" for people going to and from Hipperholme etc, to their work in Halifax. Some even are local residents. They speed up and down Woodlands Rd in excess of 30mph, while swerving through cars parked on the road. I fear that children playing on, or crossing Woodlands Rd, will be knocked down, or even killed by this stupidity. Is it not possible to post a 20mph on this road, or have the traffic police monitor the road and use their speed guns to check speeding offences?

Updates
It is very rare that we see a police officer on this "beat" at all through the day. If one is seen, it is usually a CPSO, with no power to stop a speeding motorist. If we are lucky' a police car or van may be seen once or twice a month during the evening, AFTER the problem has gone away for the day. The only time a "Traffic" car is seen around here is when the go to the cafe on Boothtown Rd, for their breakfast, you can see up to three cars together then.It seems to me the traffic police in Calderdale, are interested only in the M62. The council have not as yet, posted Woodlands Rd as a 20mph zone.Thyerefore the problem has neither been fixed, nor ceased to exist.
