Sent to Essex County Council and Braintree District Council 4 minutes later

Play area errected less than 10 metres from privately owned houses on small green area next to a pond. NO notification what so ever was submitted to home owners in imediate vacinity (with no knowledge we were unable to contest it) first idea of play area was when construction began one afternoon. We had only lived here 8 months before. New home owners had no evidence on searches undertaken when buying property. No plans confirmed that this area was every a considered sight for play area. This was checked by a solicitor too. Play area a nightmare, disruptive children abusive language unsupervised children of preschool age, constant ball games, disrepecting peoples property(ball smashing the windows), gardens constantly being damaged, litter not collected, no support or help to deal with abusive or disruptive children and teens. An unattractive play area not fitting in with environment not to mention intrusive to neighbouring properties...(can see into houses). Resale value of property affected, playground it too close to house, my children are in bed by 7pm noise from playground goes on till at least 10pm if lucky. Stress level for myself my family and my neighbours is going through the roof we are all desperatly wanting to move thanks to the play area that we knew nothing about being placed right outside our homes.

Braintree district council accepted no responsibility for the play area, they have insisted its down to developers. Essex county council contacted me saying it was not their responsiblity but it was braintree district council. Nobody wants to accept responsiblilty or help the resisdents. Community police disregard concerns and calls from resisdents. So resisdents are subjected to children screaming, shouting, ball playing and general disregard for local properties. Its a living nightmare.
