This problem is old and of unknown status.
Incorrect yellow line marking.

There is a disabled ramp on the corner of Western Street, immediately outside the Embassy Court which has a yellow line across it. This means that cars can apparently park legally there on Sundays, completely obstructing the crossing for the disabled. I have just spoken to a traffic warden who tells me he cannot give a ticket because they are legally parked on a yellow line. This yellow line needs to be removed to enable the disabled to cross the road. Thank you.

I have not been contacted by anyone, nor has the problem been fixed. It is impossible for the disabled to cross at that point. Whoever put yellow lines across a disabled ramp which enables cars to park there and blocks access for the disabled. It is really disgraceful that no one has looked into this after all this time.
This problem has not been fixed despite numerous calls to the council as well as on this site. Ridiculous and disappointing.
I have been told that this is being looked into, but considering that it is stopping the disabled being able to cross a road, they are taking an unreasonable amount of time to fix it. Just not good enough in my opinion.
I was advised month ago that this problem was in hand to be fixed, but still it has not been. Very disappointing, considering that it affects the disabled every Sunday.
This problem has not been solved although I had assurances some months ago that it was being looked into. I fail to understand what the delay is and why a yellow line was painted across a disabled access, causing it to be totally unusable on Sundays when cars are parked there. Come on Brighton and Hove council, please get your act together on this one.
