I have lived in Gweek for 14 months and have noticed dark areas around Meneth particularly when walking home from the Gweek village hall, also their is no 20MPH limit in any part of Gweek.
Please put a light between the village hall and Forthcrom. And please put 20MPH signs on the two bridges into Gweek and near the Gweek Inn's approaches.Forwarned is fore- armed. thankyou
I am keen to improve the parts of Gweek that interest me,in particular the dark areas,as described above, and the absence of 20 MPH signs when approaching or driving through the village.Another useful sign is ''Give way to pedestrians in the road'' Thankyou
I have had a response through my MP,and the council say they have no money at present to fix the problem, but will look again when things improve. I will keep at them! Jam tomorrow is not enough.
The problem still exists and the council have no funds to fix it.Living in Gweek is very pleasant apart from the very high water rates and the dark areas around Meneth and the absence of 20MPH signs.
The council have no money to help me at this time although I remain optimistic that the problem will be addressed in due course.
ineffective lighting on meneth is contributing to thefts in gardens in TR12 6UW. The council is sitting on its hands regarding this problem claiming lack of money.Safety is a priority.
Dark areas in Gweek are in Meneth, along the front near the creek and in Meneth close to no.9.Also no 20mph signs approaching the village. Both these points are safety related and need urgent attention.
the council has no money so nothing has happened.Lighting in Meneth is ineffective and there are no 20mph signs to be seen in the village. The amount of debt for all of us is an absolute disgrace.Call an election early 2010.
The council has neither the will or money to resolve the problem,so nothing can be done at the moment. However I believe in miracles and am hopeful that means may be found in 2010 to effect change
Still nothing has happened because of spending restraints and the lighting is too far apart to be effective but I hope that the council will be able to install 20 MPH signs and increase lighting in 2010
I remain optimistic, but until an election is called and parliament is given a root and branch cleanup to weed out the chaff, things will probably remain the same. The present government has lost the plot.
The local council has found the money to re-lay the road surface over the bridges and past the Gweek Inn towards Penryn.Surely extra lighting could now be installed along with 20MPH signs approaching the village?
no money to fix the lighting problem or the 20mph signs but I remain optimistic in 2010.
If the problem is not sorted I will contact david cameron firstly and then my solicitor who has promised me action in 2010.Meanwhile I remain hopeful. Alan Moon
due to the state of our finances the councils have no money to spend on repairs and the government has plans to make us all pay for the national debt over the coming months. What a mess!
I have not had my concerns addressed by the council because of the state of the economy, and currently we are on the horns whether to clear the deficit or stimulate growth.A 50-50 mix would do the job.As we struggle from recession to recession we need proper government.
As lighting is a particular problem regarding safety and as there is no help available the new government can only wring its hands over the matter.Tempis Fugit.
commenting on this problem is a waste of time, and I mean to take action to solve the problem. Keep up the good work!
this problem still exists and the council can re-surface the two bridges and put better lighting in another road but not in Meneth.I require an extra light and 20 mph signs approaching the village
