Speed humps

Sent to Derbyshire County Council and Chesterfield Borough Council less than a minute later
Recently introduced speed humps at this junction are very high, vehicles can only pass over them safely in first gear. This slows down exit from the mini roundabout causing traffic flow problems, compounded by cars parking outside newsagents.

Other than a standard response acknowledging my email, I have heard nothing further from the council
This problem still exists & i believe it causes more danger than before they were installed. The reason being that motorists are so frustrated by having to engage 1st gear & crawl over them, that they then accelerate hard when they have cleared them. I myself, often scrape my catalytic convertor, when climbing over them. They are quite clearly too high,in fact i would like to see the cushion type hump banned because motorists swerve all over the road to find the best way over them. Also what is the point of the hump on racecourse road, that you can actually drive around anyway?
