Tree in danger of pushing canal wall

A tree near Rose Bank Road is in danger of damaging the 'Great Wall of Tod'.

Can it be pruned back / felled please ?

Tree still pushing the wall. The top row of stone is in danger of falling off into the canal below.

This very same problem was reported 15 years ago to the canal company at the same time when all the large topstones had been pushed into the canal. Topstones cannot be retrieved and replaced because 'we don't have a winch long enough'. Don't hold your breath for any action, they would rather wait until fortunes need spending on rebuilding the wall.
