Speeding Earthline HGV's

I feel that the Earthline Ltd. tipper trucks that use the A417 from Stanford Quarry need investigating. I believe they are paid by the load and as a result are habitual speeders. They very rarely have their cargo of lose aggragate covered which often spills over the edge as they take corners too quickly. I have seen many of the drivers using handheld mobile telephones whilst driving. They are professional drivers and should respect other road users and pedestrians. They show little consideration when driving through built up areas particularly past King Alfreds School in Wantage where the pavements are narrow as children make their way to school. Highly dangerous, I'm just worried that sooner or later there is going to be a fatal accident.

Had a response from the Police regarding this issue that has been most encouraging. There were Police speed checks along the A417 which certainly made a big difference on the day but the speeds have been creeping up again since.
Have you [edited] got nothing better to do than moan???? Not paid by the load and all vehicles fitted with hands free.........Get your bloody facts right you coffin dodger!
What an interesting and intelligent response.
I'm sorry, as the drivers are not paid by the load please advise why they feel the need to disregard the speed limits and drive at excess speed everywhere. The cabs may well be fitted with hands free kits now - which is great - but a year ago when this report was posted there were many occasions when drivers were seen driving whilst using hand held mobile phones.
From the nature of your response I can only assume that you would be happy to have your children walk along a pavement to school as 40 tonne vehicles thunder past just a matter of feet from them. And if your child or a member of your family were killed or injured in a accident caused by a speeding vehicle (HGV or not) piloted by someone not paying due care and attention are you saying that you would be absolutely fine with the situation, show now grievance and not expect anything to be done about it?
Are all the facts in the original post incorrect? 1)The drivers are not paid by the load? 2)You can swear that the drivers have never used hand held mobile phones whilst driving? 3)The drivers never use excess speed?
If you can answer yes to all of the above I guess everyone must have been imagining it.
I guess you could well peg me as a coffin dodger as I am trying to preserve my life and that of others so I'm sorry if this comes across as a 'moan'.
