Street lighting and broken lamp posts
Reported in the Street lighting category by G. Diggins at 22:23, Mon 9 March 2009
Sent to Brighton & Hove Council 1 minute later
The light outside No. 5 Western Street was twice reported as being out and it still has not been fixed. This is a safety issue and could cause criminal damage to the properties in the vicinity. Additionally, the lamposts outside NO. 34 Western Street and 24 Norfolk Square have broken covers and the inner wirings are exposed. They should be repaired, and all lamp posts need painting and it would be much more pleasing to the eye if they were all painted the same colour.

Updates
The problem has been partly fixed. I was contacted promptly by the council and some lamps have been painted, but they are waiting for 2 covers which need replacing before the painting can be completed. I am advised that it will be completed by 4th May. Thank you.
It has been partially fixed. Apparently a part is on order and when that arrives, early this month, then I am assured the job will be completed. I must say the department in question was very prompt with their response and on keeping me informed of the status.
