Hi, Visited 20/3/09 and the graffiti has been removed by Serco. Because of its location within the Park, it is always a target for graffiti artists. Thank You
Dear CCC
The graffiti remains on the outbuilding despite promises to remove it.
Dear Robert Bright, Ron Flaherty and Kenwyn Hando,
Graffiti Memorial Park.
May I write to you for support as our Councillors for Herne Bay. The graffiti in the memorial park is not being managed by our Council. Several complaints have been made which have been ignored. I emailed the Council with a photograph of the outbuilding six weeks ago asking that they remove the graffiti urgently. As you are aware graffiti quickly leads to more graffiti and the outbuilding now has additional graffiti since last reported. Had the Council removed the graffiti as they promised, this building may have remained graffiti free and the experience of the memorial park that much more enjoyable.
Please could you help resolve this problem.
Yours
Kim Hennelly Herne Bay Fix Our Town Campaign
The issue regarding the graffiti is being taken up with Serco.
the grafitti has still not been removed despite several requests, it is getting on for 7 months that the Council have ignored the report.
I disagree with the comments that graffiti has been left in the park outbuildings for 7 months. I visited the park on the 9 October 2009 and the the graffiti found on the tennis hut is new and I found one obscene word on the pavilion, I have arranged for both to be removed. Thank You
