The communal gardens to 5 Siddons Road has been totally destroyed. The gardens that back onto Normanton road are for the elderly in the flats of 5-17 Siddons Road. The flats are owned by Lewisham council. The fence that fell down two years ago has never been fixed and since that time teenagers congregate in the garden, drinking, playing loud music and vandalising the garden further. Lewisham council need to fix the fence properly in order for this problem to be solved.

the problem was reported to dunlop haywards who look after this area but they informed me that lewisham homes are responsible for this garden but they would collect the rubbish (still not done). i spoke to lewisham homes and have sent them information and pictures. they have said that they only repair fences if it is a health and safety issue, i think this is, i hope that something will eventually be done before there is an injury in this garden, as there is broken glass and kids playing on a swing made from a couch tied to a tree and using the fallen over fence as a bicycle ramp.

continually phone the council, but they are very unhelpful. Lewisham council do not want to take any responsibility despite the gardens being council owned.
