Rough Road at Junction and NO White Lines!
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 23:10, Fri 4 April 2014
Sent to Cornwall Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 462417.
For a long time this busy junction has been riddled with pitting and a grossly unacceptable surface. This surface is bad enough anywhere but at a junction is even worse from a safety point of view as people look to work out a route through it which is least bumpy. And the white lines......where are they? Even the white triangular halt line is barely existent. This busy junction requires substantial overhaul to bring it back to an acceptable standard. Why are our roads allowed to get into this state of disrepair?

I have received an email from Cormac Ltd dated 7th April informing me, "that this junction has been nominated for resurfacing during this financial year. The lining at this junction will then be renewed as part of these works." I'm sure many drivers will be pleased and encouraged by these words. There could, of course, be a little time until this issue is finally fixed.

I say it has not been fixed but have had an email from Cormac to say funds in this financial year will be released for the repair of this junction.

The pinned junction has within the last fortnight been fixed. Also these works fortunately took in the two nearby junctions on Chasewater Hill. Hopefully the section of bad road between there and Carnon Downs, marked out with yellow marker earlier in the year will be fixed in the not too distant future and before the marker wears out!
